Prerequisite: CTE Application

Students will learn about ARC welding, MIG welding, flux-cored welding, TIG welding, and torch welding, as well as soldering and brazing processes. Students will use: hand tools, metal bending fixtures, pipe benders, metal cutting saws, plasma cutters, and oxy-fuel torches to form and shape metal projects.
Many modern production welding practices are covered through hands-on projects, textbooks, and
lectures. Students will use their newly formed skills to produce projects. Students will also explore the career options for welding.
